Pakistan blind cricket team

NEW DELHI: In an unprecedented action, the Union government has chosen to deny visas to the Pakistani cricket team to travel to India for the T20 World Cup for the Blind.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, the Pakistan Blind Cricket Council (PBCC) said that the team could not get clearance from India’s Ministry of External Affairs.

The tournament was slated to begin here Tuesday onwards, but with Pakistan denied participation, it has been delayed while a revised schedule is drawn up.
