KOLKATA: The seventh edition of the Tata Steel Kolkata 25K saw winners Leonard Barsoton and Desi Jisa in the men’s and women’s elite international category respectively rewrite the record books on a nippy Sunday morning that saw over 15,000 running enthusiasts put their best foot forward literally.

Kenya’s Barsoton defended his TSK 25K title in style as he bested his own course record of 1:13.05 he set in 2019. Barsoton, the 2017 World Cross-Country Silver medalist, finished in 1.12.49.

Abhinav Bindra named TSK 25K 2022 event ambassador

KOLKATA: Tata Steel Kolkata 25K 2022 organiser Procam International on Wednesday announced India’s first individual Olympic Gold medallist Abhinav Bindra as event ambassador for the seventh edition of the $100,000 prize fund World Athletics Elite Label Road Race. The shooter replaces former grand slam tennis champion Mary Pierce who is indisposed.

Mary Pierce is international event ambassador for TSK25K 2022

KOLKATA: Two-time Grand Slam winner Mary Pierce was Friday announced as the International Event Ambassador for this year's Tata Steel Kolkata 25K, to be held on 18th December, by the race’s promoter Procam International. Instituted in 2014, TSK 25K sparked a running revolution in eastern India. The seventh edition of this World Athletics Elite Label Road race will take place on December 18.
