ATK Mohun Bagan FC

Newly crowned Hero Indian Super League (ISL) champions ATK Mohun Bagan FC will be renamed as Mohun Bagan Super Giants from the 2023-24 season. 

Club owner Sanjeev Goenka made the announcement after The Mariners beat Bengaluru FC in a penalty shootout in the final at the Fatorda Stadium on Saturday to clinch their maiden ISL title.

“We were waiting on the cards. We were waiting for the [ISL final] win to announce it,” Goenka announced after the historic win.

MUMBAI: Ragu Iyer, the veteran sports media executive who has helmed RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group's sports initiatives for just under seven years, has moved on. Iyer, who resigned last month as chief executive officer of RPSG Sports, had overall charge of the group's interests in cricket and football, and earlier in table tennis as well.
