NEW DELHI: The world’s leading badminton equipment brand YONEX on Saturday announced that it will now manufacture high-quality graphite racquets in the country, expanding its existing production plan and base in India, a move which will bring the cost of full-body racquets down considerably.

Towards this end, YONEX is opening a new factory in Bengaluru dedicated to the production of full carbon graphite badminton racquets, which is set to begin operations in April.

KUALA LUMPUR: Badminton World Federation (BWF) has approved the use of synthetic feather shuttlecocks at BWF International sanctioned tournaments of all levels from 2021. Following this decision, BWF has made it possible for shuttlecock manufacturers to seek approval under the BWF Equipment Approval scheme for versions of their synthetic feather shuttlecocks to be used in international competitions.

MELBOURNE: Japanese sporting manufacturer Yonex has extended their agreement as official Australian Open stringer in a new multi-year deal.   The partnership extension was announced at special Australian Open launch function in Tokyo Wednesday.
