NEW YORK: The National Basketball Association (NBA) and Wilson Sporting Goods Co. Wednesday announced a multiyear global partnership that will make Wilson the official game ball of the NBA, Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA), NBA G League, NBA 2K League and Basketball Africa League (BAL).

Anta agrees $5.2bn price for Wilson parent company
MUMBAI: China's Anta Sports Products is leading a consortium to purchase Finnish headquartered sporting goods company Amer Sports for a reported $5.2 billion.  Amer Sports, the maker of Wilson tennis rackets and Louisville Slugger baseball bats, owns both ENVE Composites and Mavic, as well as other active brands such as Arc'teryx, Salomon, Atomic, Peak Performance, Precor and Suunto.

China's Anta makes buyout offer for Wilson parent Amer Sports
HONG KONG: Hot on the heels of confirming it is considering the sale of its Mavic and ENVE cycling operation, Finland’s Amer Sports, makers of Wilson tennis rackets and branded outdoor gear, has received a $5.3 billion takeover approach from China’s Anta Sports and private equity firm FountainVest.

Dunlop replaces Wilson as Australian Open ball partner
MELBOURNE: Australian Open, the first Grand Slam of the tennis calendar year, has announced that Dunlop will be replacing Wilson as its official ball partner for the next five years.  Dunlop will also be providing balls for all levels of Tennis Australia-sanctioned tournaments and its low compression balls will be used in the governing body’s key development program, ANZ Tennis Hot Shots.
