NEW DELHI: The Sports Ministry's diktat, that the Railways Sports Promotion Board (RSPB) and Services Sports Control Board (SSCB), be deprived of voting rights since both are government bodies and this would interfere with the 'one state, one vote' credo of the National Sports Development Code of 2011, has not gone down well with either the Services or the Railways.

"Let's keep sportsmen as most important people, everything else will fall into place later," he told ANI. Singh added that the "best of the opportunities" will be provided to all sportspersons in their endeavour to make India a strong sporting nation.

NEW DELHI: Sports Minister Vijay Goel on Wednesday announced a cash prize of Rs500,000 for each member of the victorious Blind cricket T20 World Cup winning squad. Speaking at the launch of the Delhi Gramin Khel Mahotsav, Goel told reporters that the government is committed to support the differently-abled players.
