MUMBAI: After months of keeping industry stakeholders on tenterhooks, the BCCI will finally float tenders for the 2023-2027 media rights cycle of the Indian Premier League in the coming week and complete the e-auction in two months, board secretary Jay Shah has said.

Media rights for the IPL will capture value worthy of the league's rapid rise, especially after the addition of two new teams and strong digital growth, Shah told Reuters.

MUMBAI: The BCCI recently had no option but to indefinitely suspend the Indian Premier League after it had completed only half its innings for 2021. Now by the looks of things, the Indian cricket board has also been forced to put on hold its publicly stated plan to float tenders for two new IPL teams.

DUBAI: The ICC has announced that tender documents for the provision of travel management services for the ICC for 2020-2023 are available on application from interested parties. The ICC is seeking proposals from travel management agents to provide travel management services for group travel relating to ICC events, board meetings and conferences as well as individual corporate travel for the period 2020 to 2023.

MADRID: The Royal Spanish Football Association (RFEF) has refuted claims made by Mediapro, the Spanish communications company and rights broker, that the rights tender to the Copa del Rey have been suspended. A statement issued by Mediapro claimed that Madrid's Commercial Court Nº 12 had ruled in its favour after it had been excluded from the original tender.
