JOHANNESBURG: Sub-Saharan Africa's dominant spostcaster SuperSport "blinked in then end" after consumer pushback (or so we presume) over its initial decision to forego telecast of the 2023 edition of the TATA Indian Premier League. 

Following updated conversations with the rights holder, SuperSport parent DStv confirmed on Friday, just four hours ahead of the 2023 season opener, that all matches of the world's biggest annual cricket jamboree "will be broadcast on SuperSport".

MUMBAI: The Indian Premier League can now officially be declared as having an offshore venue in South Afria. Cricket South Africa (CSA), which had invited bids from international parties to buy teams in what is its third shot at mounting a franchise-based T20 league, has accepted offers from IPL team owners for all six franchises up for sale.

MUMBAI: The International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) has confirmed that the World Cup 2019 in New Delhi will have the largest broadcast ever for the sport’s marquee event, following a new deal with South Africa’s top private sports broadcaster, SuperSport. With the event starting on Thursday, SuperSport will be showcasing the event live on television in 50 countries of the African continent.
