Premier Badminton League Season 6 to kick-start from Dec 17

NEW DELHI: Premier Badminton League (PBL) is all set for a much-awaited comeback after a two-year hiatus with season 6, scheduled from December 17 to January 14, 2023.

PBL is organised by SportzLive — the official license holder of the league - under the aegis of the Badminton Association of India (BAI).

The upcoming edition of the league will once again bring exciting world-class badminton action to the fans after a break of two years, owing to the pandemic.

Chennai PBL franchise sports new owner, name
NEW DELHI: There is a new owner and a change in name for the Chennai team in season five of the Premier Badminton League, which kicks off on January 20. Vijay Prabhakaran, owner of the Chennai Smashers for the last four seasons, has exited the league and organisers SportzLive have announced R Sivakumar as the new owner of the team, which has been rechristened Chennai Superstarz.

Premier Badminton League kicks off 5th season on Jan 20
NEW DELHI: The fifth edition of the Premier Badminton League (PBL) will start from January 20, 2020 and will continue till February 9. Sportzlive, commercial license holders of PBL under the aegis of the Badminton Association of India will host the league this time in four cities - Chennai, Delhi, Lucknow, and Bengaluru.

IBL teams to pay Rs40m franchise fee in yr 1: Pande
MUMBAI: After confirming to SportzPower back in May the dates of the inaugural edition of the franchise based Indian Boxing League, Atul Pande, managing director of sports management company Sportzlive, which owns the commercial rights to the IBL, has provided further details. It bears noting for the record that Sportzlive is also the commercial rights holder for the Premier Badminton League.
