MUMBAI: On the eve of the World Cup final, the International Cricket Council finds itself in a right royal pickle as there is currently no radio broadcast available for ICC's blue riband event.

Reason according to Times of India: Dubai based Channel 2 Group Corporation, which won the digital radio rights until 2023 for all ICC events, has left the ICC in a financial quandary as cheques issued for the procurement of rights (bank guarantees) have bounced over the last couple of weeks.

NEW DELHI: Sports Flashes, India’s first sports radio, and UAE's Channel 2 Group Corporation have collaborated for a documentary on India-Pakistan rivalry at cricket World Cups that will release soon. The film features six World Cup matches played between India and Pakistan. The chief cricket content lead for the documentary is Indian sports journalist, academician and author Boria Majumdar.

NEW DELHI: The Delhi High Court Tuesday sought Prasar Bharati's response on a plea Delhi-based Sports Flashes, a multi sports content app, alleging that the pubcaster was resorting to arm-twisting to force it to give up the audio rights it holds for the upcoming ICC Cricket World Cup. The High Court sought Prasar Bharati's stand on the petition filed by India Sports Flashes Pvt Ltd.
