Sauber have announced that Audi recently acquired a minority stake in the company, as preparations continue for the German manufacturer’s planned Formula 1 entry in 2026.

Audi initially confirmed at last year’s Belgian Grand Prix that they will join F1 when the new engine regulations – featuring increased electrical power and 100% sustainable fuels – are introduced in three years' time.

Audi have reached an agreement with Sauber to make the Swiss Formula 1 operation their works team from 2026. LONDON: The Force India and Sauber teams have withdrawn the complaint they lodged with the European Commission (EU) on the subject of anti-competitive practices in the sport of Formula 1. The grievance was filed with the EU back in 2015, prior to the takeover of Formula 1 by its current owners, who have subsequently engaged all the F1 teams in detailed discussions concerning the running of the sport.

LONDON: The Sauber F1 Team have signed a multi-year technical and commercial partnership with Alfa Romeo, returning the Italian car manufacturer to F1 after an absence of more than 30 years. The deal will see the Swiss squad renamed Alfa Romeo Sauber F1 Team from 2018, with the car bearing the Alfa Romeo logo and being equipped with 2018-spec Ferrari engines.
