PVL organisers announce Kerala state volleyball league

HYDERABAD: In a riposte to the Volleyball Federation of India, the organisers of the ongoing Prime Volleyball League (Pro Volleyball League rebadged for legal reasons) have announced a Kerala-based state volleyball league. 

The proposed Kerala Premier Volleyball League will consist of teams from the districts and will be organized in the second half of the current year. The announcement of the tournament was made ahead of the second PVL semi-final match on Friday.

MUMBAI: Baseline Ventures, commercial partners of the Vollyeball Federation of India for its planned franchise based league in India, has signed a multi-year deal with Sony Pictures Networks India (SPN) to broadcast the Pro Volleyball League, the inaugural season of which is now scheduled for February 2019.

Pro Volleyball extends team bid deadline
MUMBAI: Baseline Ventures, commercial partners of the Vollyeball Federation of India for its planned franchise based league in India, has extended the deadline to submit expressions of interest for owning any one of the six franchises the will compete in the inaugural season of Pro Volleyball.

Pro Volleyball secures FIVB endorsement
NEW DELHI: Close on the heels of lifting the suspension on the Volleyball Federation of India (VFI), the Federation Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB) Wednesday committed its support to the upcoming Pro Volleyball League.  In a letter addressed to VFI secretary general Ramavtar Singh Jakhar, FIVB president Dr Ary S Graca congratulated the VFI on setting up a professional volleyball league .

Baseline floats bid tenders for Pro Volleyball
NEW DELHI: The Volleyball Federation of India (VFI) and Baseline Ventures Monday announced the commencement of the bid process for the Pro Volleyball League, scheduled in the second half of 2018. The bid documents for prospective franchise owners of the league will be available from Tuesday, 15 May.
