As they say: "There is many a slip between the cup and the lip." Mashal Sports, the Disney Star-promoted organisers of the well established franchise-based Pro Kabaddi League, have been hit with a googly in the wake of its recent announcement that it would soon be staging a women’s kabaddi league.

A potential spanner has been thrown in the works as far as those plans are concerned after the International Kabaddi Federation (IKF) denied having given its endorsement to Mashal Sports for organising a women’s kabaddi league.

MUMBAI: Star India controlled Mashal Sports, organisers and rights owners of the VIVO Pro Kabaddi League, Tuesday announced that Season VII will begin on Saturday, 20th July, with a standardised kick-off time of 7.30 pm for all games.

MUMBAI: Season VII Player auctions ended on a high note Tuesday with some big buys in Domestic Category B, which includes Manjeet bought by Puneri Paltans for Rs 6.3 million, and K Prapanjan joining the Bengal Warriors for Rs 5.55 million. In all, a total of over Rs 500 million was spent on 200 players over three days, a big jump from the season 6 auctions.

Ltd., organisers and rights owners of the VIVO Pro Kabaddi League, Monday announced the third edition of its talent scouting and development initiative - Future Kabaddi Heroes (FKH) programme 2019.  Initiated in 2017, the programme has been the pathway for young high potential kabaddi players to prove their mettle on the mat at VIVO PKL.

MUMBAI: The VIVO Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) Season 6 is set to end on Monday as Bengaluru Bulls take on Gujarat FortuneGiants in the final at the National Sports Club of India, Mumbai. The total prize money this season, adds up to Rs 80 million. The winners of the final will take home Rs 30 million, while the finalists will settle for Rs 18 million.

MUMBAI: The Vivo Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) organizers Mashal Sports announced in an official statement on Monday that the sixth season of the competition will begin on 7 Oct and not 5 Oct as scheduled earlier due to logistical reasons.

MUMBAI: Star India announced on Monday that it will be broadcasting the second season of KBD Juniors, India’s largest televised school sports outreach programme on Star Sports and Hotstar in association with Star's subsidiary company Mashal Sports, the co-owners and organisers of the VIVO Pro Kabaddi League.  Both the events will run simultaneously in the same 12 cities at the same time.

MUMBAI: Mashal Sports Pvt Ltd., the organizer and rights holder of VIVO Pro Kabaddi League, announced the fixtures for Season VI, beginning October 5.  The sixth season of VIVO Pro Kabaddi will begin in Chennai, and will travel across 13 cities, with the final showdown in Mumbai on January 5, 2019. Fans can catch the action at the stadiums as well as on the Star Sports Network and Hotstar.

MUMBAI:  Mashal Sports has announced that the sixth season of the VIVO Pro Kabaddi will begin on 19th October rather than in July, as was the case with season V. The change of schedule is in view of the fact that this year's Asian Games in Jakarta kicks off 18 August running through to 2 September.
