MUMBAI: Mashal Sports, organizers of the vivo Pro Kabaddi League (PKL), has formally announced the return of the event, starting with the season 8 player auction that will take place between August 29th and 31st.

MUMBAI: With 33 referees on board, Mashal Sports conducted the Referee Excellence workshop virtually from 14th June to 18th June. After bringing the indigenous sport of Kabaddi to the limelight, Mashal Sports have continuously invested in the technical training and development of the vivo Pro Kabaddi League’s officials and tournament referees to continue to advance and enhance the sport and league.

MUMBAI: The Star India network, which owns a majority stake in Mashal Sports, commercial rights holder of the Pro Kabaddi League, has, as expected, retained the media rights to the PKL for the next five seasons. Mashal Sports announced at the weekend that it had successfully concluded its PKL media rights auction for five Seasons (Season 8 to Season 12) to be held during 2021-2025.

MUMBAI: In the wake of sustained demands from the franchises, sports management company Mashal Sports, founded by Anand Mahindra and Charu Sharma, and now majority owned by Star India, has confirmed it will open the tender process for the media rights of Pro Kabaddi League (PKL).  The rights will be awarded for five years, from Seasons 8 to 12, or until 2025, whichever is earlier.

MUMBAI: Mashal Sports, which holds the commercial rights to the Pro Kabaddi League and has Star India as its controlling stakeholder, has dismmised "speculative news"  that the league has approached the Sri Lanka Kabaddi Federation to organize PKL season 8.
