Javier Tebas

MADRID: LaLiga president Javier Tebas has been proposed by European Leagues as its representative on the UEFA executive committee (ExCo) for the next four years.

Tebas will replace Lars-Christer Olsson, outgoing president of European Leagues and former president of the Swedish professional league.

Tebas said: "This is a responsibility that I will assume with pride and with the commitment to continue fighting for the growth of national leagues, which are the true motor of football."

MUMBAI: The return of LaLiga is imminent. LaLiga president Javier Tebas confirmed as much in an interview with the El Partidazo #VolverEsGanar show on Movistar, LaLiga’s broadcaster in Spain.  The LaLiga president announced that there will be games on every day of the week, and also confirmed the kick-off times for the first and second matchday back.

MADRID: With the Spanish government giving the green signal to the clubs to resume training, LaLiga president Javier Tebas has suggested that the 2019-20 season should resume on June 12. “I don’t know when football will return. I don’t know if the most probable date is June 19, I would like it to be June 12,” said Tebas as quoted by Movistar as having aaid.

BARCELONA: LaLiga chief Javier Tebas' ambitions to stage one game a season in the United States have been dealt a sucker punch after FC Barcelona, following a board meeting on Monday, made it official they would not be playing against FC Girona in a fixture that was scheduled to take place on January 26 at Miami’s Hard Rock Stadium.
