International Olympic Committee (IOC)

The Indian Olympic Association, which has been dragging its feet for more than a year on the International Olympic Committee's demand that it appoint a professional chief executive, will finally re-initiate the hiring process after being called out by the IOC. 

The IOA executive council, which met in Mumbai on Tuesday, decided to issue a new advertisement for the post. The CEO will be an ex-officio member of the IOA executive council without voting rights.

NEW DELHI: Veteran sports administrator Narinder Batra on Monday resigned as president of International Hockey Federation (FIH) with immediate effect and also gave up his membership of the International Olympic Committee (IOC). In three separate letters, Batra officially tendered his resignations from the Indian Olympic Association (IOA), IOC and FIH respectively.

LAUSANNE: The International Olympic Committee (IOC) on Friday decided to conduct the boxing programme and the qualifying events for Paris 2024 Olympic Games on its own, declaring that the International Boxing Association (IBA) was not in a position to conduct the event as IOC's concerns regarding governance and transparency have  not been adequately addressed.

LAUSANNE: The International Olympic Committee (IOC) and Deloitte Thursday announced a decade-long, five-Games TOP partnership through 2032.  Deloitte will serve as a Worldwide Olympic and Paralympic Partner for the following Games: Paris 2024, the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026,  Los Angeles 2028, the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games 2030 and Brisbane 2032.

LAUSANNE: The International Olympic Committee (IOC) is launching a new four-sport Olympic qualifier series for Paris 2024. This is an  Olympic Agenda 2020+5  project, which was presented today to the IOC Executive Board. The new IOC-led Olympic qualifier series will include four sports – BMX freestyle, breaking, skateboarding, and sport climbing.
