GMR Group

The GMR Group (co-owners of IPL franchise Delhi Capitals) will "help build and operate" the Seattle Orcas team in the upcoming Major League Cricket (MLC) T20 league in the US, scheduled to launch in July, it was announced Thursday.

The Seattle Orcas’ lead investor group includes Satya Nadella (chairman & CEO of Microsoft), Soma Somasegar (managing director of Madrona Ventures), Samir Bodas (co-founder and CEO, Icertis), Ashok Krishnamurthi (managing partner, GreatPoint Ventures) and Sanjay Parthasarathy (former senior executive at Microsoft and Avalara).

NEW DELHI: JSW and GMR co-owned Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Delhi Capitals Monday announced the launch of the 5th edition of Delhi Capitals Corporate Cup T20, formerly known as the Delhi Daredevils Corporate Cup T20.  The tournament, which will feature 16 participating teams, will be played in Gurugram between 5th October-10th November.

NEW DELHI: GMR Group reportedly agreed a total enterprise valuation of Rs 11 billion in its sale of 50 per cent stake in its cricket franchise Delhi Daredevils (DD) to JSW Sports Private Limited.  The first significant stake sale by an Indian Premier League franchise will see JSW shell out Rs 5.5 billion for the 50 per cent stake, Mumbai Mirror reports.
