MUMBAI: Sri Lanka Cricket's global media rights have reportedly been awarded to incumbent Sony Pictures Networks India (SPN) for a period of four years - from April 2023 to March 2027.

The agreement provides SPN exclusive TV and digital rights to air all 55 days of live cricket comprising 12 Test matches, 23 ODIs and 2to 4 T20Is sanctioned by the ICC.

Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has reportedly invited global media rights bids for international cricket played in the Emerald Isles over the next four years - April 2023 to March 2027. As per Cricbuzz, SLC is hoping to open the bids on Wednesday (March 1) in Colombo and aside from incumbent rights holder Sony Sports, Disney Star, Viacom18 and digital sports platform FanCode are  in the fray.

MUMBAI: The BCCI on Monday announced that Viacom18 have bagged the media rights for the inaugural five-year cycle of the upcoming Women's Indian Premier League.  The BCCI confirmed that the Reliance India Ltd-controlled network was the successful bidder for the consolidated bid for the media rights (i.e., global televisions rights and global digital rights).

MUMBAI: Sony Pictures Networks India Monday confirmed a report published earlier by SportzPower that SPN has retained the the exclusive global media rights (originally held by Ten Sports) for Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC), with the exception of terrestrial, digital and radio rights for the territory of Sri Lanka, which has been retained by SLC, for a period of 3 years, effective 1st July.

LONDON: W Series has appointed leading sports marketing agency, Pitch International, to sell media rights to the inaugural season of the women’s motor-racing championship. Pitch International will seek broadcast deals for W Series in all markets outside the UK. It already works with a range of elite sporting properties, including the World Rally Championship, the FA Cup and Guinness Six Nations Rugby.
