UEFA announces new format for club competitions

NYON, Switzerland: The UEFA executive committee Monday approved a new format for its club competitions as of the 2024/25 season.

The reforms come after an extensive consultation across the football family and received unanimous backing from the ECA Board and the UEFA Club Competitions Committee (made of a majority of club representatives) last Friday.

MUMBAI: The International Cricket Council will consider proposals designed to protect all formats of international cricket amid the proliferation of domestic Twenty20 leagues across the cricketing world, The Guardian reports. Chief executives of the full member boards will meet to discuss the proposal in Kolkata in April, the report states.
