LONDON: The Commonwealth Games Federation (CGF) Coordination Commission have stated they are confident that Birmingham 2022 is fully on track to stage a fantastic sporting competition that will be an incredible showcase of the city, the West Midlands and the UK.

The Coordination Commission (CoCom) is responsible for delivery oversight of the Commonwealth Games and tasked with monitoring the event to ensure it is delivered to scope, schedule and budget. This week marked the sixth CGF CoCom review of Birmingham 2022, with sessions undertaken virtually.

LONDON: The Commonwealth Games Federation on Monday poured cold water on speculation doing the rounds that a Commonwealth Championship of shooting will be held in India during the 2022 Birmingham Games.   Talk of a CWG shooting championship had surfaced as a compromise solution to make up for the sport's axing from the multi-sport showpiece.

The executive board of the Commonwealth Games Federation (CGF) met Thursday and approved the inclusion of women's cricket, beach volleyball and para table tennis into the Games programme for the Birmingham edition.

GOLD COAST: The Indian delegation at the Commonwealth Games have been ordered to appear before the Commonwealth Games Federation (CGF) medical commission after their boxing contingent were deemed to have committed a "clear" breach of the no-needle policy at Gold Coast 2018, it was announced here Monday.
