MUMBAI: City Football Group (CFG), which owns Premier League champions Manchester City, was Thursday announced as the majority stakeholder of Indian Super League (ISL) club Mumbai City FC. Though financial terms were not divulged, CFG now holds a 65% majority stake in the club, while co-owners Bimal Prekh and Ranbir Kapoor retain the remaining 35% shares.

MUMBAI: After "looking at India" for nearly two years now, City Football Group, the holding company that owns Manchester City, will invest in an Indian club this year, CFG chief executive Ferran Soriano has confirmed. Aside from the Premier League title holders, CFG also owns parts of clubs in the United States, Australia, Japan, Spain, Uruguay and China.

LONDON: City Football Group, the holding company of Premier League giants Manchester City, has appointed CAA Sports, a division of leading entertainment and sports agency Creative Artists Agency (CAA), to develop global partnerships.  CAA Sports will work alongside CFG’s in-house sales team on a range of projects, with an initial focus on global agreements for CFG’s clubs with leading brands.

JAMSHEDPUR: Manchester City FC CEO Ferran Sorriano on Friday said the English football giants may invest in Indian football in the near future. Sorriano made his comments Friday on the sidelines of an Indian Super League (ISL) tie between Jamshedpur FC and Mumbai City.
