MUMBAI: Tokyo 2020, which saw India come away with a medal haul of 7 (1 Gold, 2 Silver and 4 Bronze), while not quite matching up to the pre-event expectations, was still India's best ever performance at an Olympic Games. 

It goes without saying therefore that the the advertisers and brands that "put their money where there mouths were", benefited from the "positive afterglow" that the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, delivered under the shadow of the COVID-19 pandemic and without fans, gave off.

Victoria Beckham to launch new Reebok range

IMG extends NFL in-flight rights
NEW YORK: IMG has secured a new four-year deal for in-flight rights to the NFL, which includes live coverage on Sport 24, the agency's sports channel exclusive to the inflight industry. The new agreement through 2020 will see Sport 24 broadcast up to six games live per week from the regular season, leading to the playoffs and the Super Bowl.

Teams, pilots for inaugural Indian powerboat series unveiled
MUMBAI: The six teams and their internationally acclaimed pilots and navigators for the inaugural NEXA P1 Powerboat, Indian Grand Prix of the Seas, the first UIM recognized World Championship Event, was Saturday unveiled here.  All teams will consist of two boats, each raced by a pilot and navigator, and will have ‘team ambassadors’ who have won international beauty pageants.

World 1st in powerboat racing: Sony to live t'cast Indian Grand Prix of the Seas
MUMBAI: Sony Pictures Networks India (SPN) is the broadcast partner for the inaugural edition of Nexa P1 Powerboat, Indian Grand Prix of the Seas, the global series in powerboat racing being launched from India by Procam International.  This will be the first time in the world that powerboat racing will be telecast live.
