BENGALURU: Karnataka’s minister of Youth Empowerment and Sports, KC Narayana Gowda, announced on Thursday that Sree Kanteerava Stadium, home turf of Hero Indian Super League franchise Bengaluru FC since the club's inception, will henceforth not be used for football.

BENGALURU: Hero Indian Super League franchise Bengaluru FC on Friday, announced their plans to start under-11, under-13 and under-15 girls teams this season, marking their entry into women’s football. The selection trials for the same are scheduled to be held at the Bangalore Football Stadium, in Ashok Nagar, on September 25.

BENGALURU: Hero Indian Super League franchise Bengaluru FC on Sunday announced that club captain Sunil Chhetri had signed a new two-year deal to keep him at the club until at least 2023. Chhetri, who signed with the Blues in 2013, will see the new deal extend his stay with Bengaluru into a tenth season.

NEW DELHI: Bengaluru FC’s AFC Cup play-off match, scheduled to be held on April 28, has been indefinitely postponed as the preliminary game to decide their opponents is yet to take place due to the COVID-19 pandemic. BFC, runners-up in 2016, were drawn to play the winners of the match between six-time Bangladesh Premier League champions Abahani and Maldives’ Eagles.
