AFI onboards Reliance Foundation as key sponsor

NEW DELHI: Sports management company IOS Sports and Entertainment, commercial partners of the Athletics Federation of India (AFI), have onboarded Reliance Foundation as a sponsor. 

The partnership announcement, on similar lines to what was announed with HSBC Monday, will focus on turning vision into reality by promoting and supporting women athletes in India.

AFI says Pune marathon not recognised event
MUMBAI: The Athletics Federation of India has said that it has not granted recognition to the Pune International Marathon scheduled to be held in the city on December 3. In a letter to its affiliated states, units and coaching camps in the country, the AFI said, “This is to inform you that Athletics Federation of India has not granted permission for Pune International Marathon,” reports PTI.

AFI cracks the whip on athletes skipping national camp
KOCHI: The Athletics Federation of India at its AGM held recently, ruled that it would bar athletes who skip the national camps from competing for the country. The decision has reportedly not gone down well with several athletes who are yet to join the camps and are now contemplating legal action against the diktat.
