MILAN, Italy: US-based private investment firm RedBird Capital Partners, which has a stake in Liverpool and the Boston Red Sox, Thursday announced that it has completed the acquisition of Serie A giants AC Milan for €1.2 billion.
Closer home, RedBird Capital holds a 15% stake in Indian Premier League franchise Rajasthan Royals, which it bought in to in June 2021.

NEW YORK: EA Sports has announced exclusive, multi-year partnerships with Serie A clubs AC Milan and Inter, which will commence with the launch of FIFA 21 this October.
The agreement will see the Italian giants feature exclusively in FIFA 21 – meaning the game will boast all-encompassing access to the Rossoneri and Nerazzurri players, kits, training grounds, stadia and so on.

KOCHI: AC Milan will launch the Italian club's international football academy in Kozhikode, Kerala in the first week of September. "Phase one" of the programe will see AC Milan Football Academies simultaneously opening in Ernakulam and Malappuram districts.
Academies in Thrissur, Kannur and Kasaragod districts will reportedly mark phase two of the project.

LYON: UEFA has confirmed the exclusion of AC Milan from the upcoming UEFA club competitions season for its failure to comply with financial fair play rulesduring the monitoring periods assessed in the 2017/18 and 2018/19 seasons and covering the reporting periods ending in 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018.

LONDON: Raul Sanllehi and Vinai Venkatesham have been named to lead Premier League side Arsenal FC, following a decision by the club's chief executive Ivan Gazidis to join AC Milan.
Sanllehi, head of football relations, has been appointed as head of football, and Venkatesham, currently chief commercial officer, becomes managing director.
