EA hands India distribution rights to e-xpress Interactive

MUMBAI: Leading Indian video games distributor e-xpress Interactive Software Pvt Ltd has announced a distribution agreement with Electronic Arts. This partnership will bring games from popular franchises such as EA SPORTS FIFA, Battlefield, Need for Speed, Star Wars Battlefront and more officially to Indian retail stores, both online and offline.

Until recently, Amazon India was the official distributor for EA games in India and it only covered online retail. Official offline channels for purchase have been unavailable since 2008, which was when the publisher shuttered marketing and publishing operations in the country.

“We are delighted to make this announcement,” said Amit Khemani, founder of e-xpress Interactive. “Electronic Arts is one the world’s leading video game publishers and delivers some of the best content to consumers. Their commitment, innovation and passion to create high-quality content is admired by gamers across the world and in India. Through this partnership, we will work hard to support their success in our country”.

This partnership includes games from EA franchises like FIFA, Star Wars Battlefront, Need for Speed, and more and the titles will be made available both online and offline.
