Rooter selected for 2018 leAD Sports Accelerator program

NEW DELHI: Indian live sports social engagement platform Rooter has been chosen amongst the finalists of the 2018 leAD Sports Accelerator Program. 

Under the program, leAD provides high-potential sports start-ups, from seed to fully-functioning profitable ventures, access to input sessions and opportunities for personal mentorship, strategic business networking, direct investment, and follow-up investment.

More than 400 start-ups from 60 countries applied for the 2018 leAD Sports Accelerator Program, including 59 sports start-ups from India. Post the initial screening, followed by 3-4 rounds of telephonic/Skype interviews, leAD invited 25 finalists to Berlin in July for a final round of interviews. Rooter was selected after an open pitch, followed by 13-14 rounds of interviews with top experts across the global sports industry.

leAD will host the chosen start-ups in Berlin, one of the most promising start-up capitals in the world, between September and December. With its selection, Rooter becomes the only Indian start-up chosen for the latest edition of the prestigious program, as well as the first Indian start-up to ever be selected for it.
