Aditi Ashok Kenya Ladies Open 2023

India’s Aditi Ashok won her fourth Ladies European Tour title at the Kenya Ladies Open 2023 golf tournament at Vipingo Ridge, Kenya on Sunday.

It was the 24-year-old's first LET title since winning the 2017 Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Open in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Aditi carded a 12-under (67-70-69-74) to win the contest ahead of England’s Alice Hewson and Thailand’s April Angurasaranee, who finished with identical final scores of 3-under.

Aditi was consistent throughout the four rounds. She made a brilliant start to the Kenya Ladies Open golf tournament scoring 6-under 67 in the first round, which included an eagle and five birdies and remained in the lead throughout.

India’s Avani Prashanth, meanwhile, finished tied-ninth with a score of 3-over (75-75-73-72) and Amandeep Drall came tied-52nd with a 16-over (74-74-83-77).

Aditi turned pro in 2016 and also represented India at Rio 2016 Olympics. In the same year, she won the Women’s India Open to become the first Indian to win a LET golf title. She also clinched the Qatar Open that year.

In 2021, Aditi narrowly missed out on becoming the first Indian golfer to win an Olympic medal after finishing fourth at Tokyo 2020.
