COLOMBO: The organizers of Lanka Premier League and Sri Lanka Cricket, upon recommendation of Sri Lanka's Ministry of Health, have decided to open ticket sales for up to 50% of stadium capacity for the second season of the LPL, which will be held from 5th December through to 23rd December.
The league matches will be hosted at the R.Premadasa Stadium, Colombo, while the knockouts will be held at the Mahinda Rajapaksa International Stadium, Hambantota.
Along with Sri Lanka's Ministry of Health and Sri Lanka Cricket, IPG will implement a plan to ensure that all the measures are followed to prevent the spread of Covid-19. All the fans in the stands will need to wear a mask and maintain social distancing at all times during the matches.
Additionally, fans entering the stadium will need to be double vaccinated, with a period of at least two weeks having elapsed since receiving their second dose, Arjuna De Silva, the head of SLC's medical committee, revealed on Thursday.
Heshan Perera - head of Marketing (Daraz), said "We are very excited to take our partnership with the Lanka Premier League to another level, by enabling ticket sales for the LPL series on Daraz. While live streaming the matches as the Digital partner for the tournament, we are also delighted that we can provide the opportunity to cricket fans to purchase their tickets to watch the matches in person. Daraz always puts customer experience and convenience to the forefront, and with this we have taken another step towards fulfilling it."
