BENGALURU: The Bengaluru Torpedoes Volleyball Academy in India was officially recognised as a Volleyball Centre of Excellence in the country as the FIVB and Bengaluru Torpedoes signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) last week.

Situated within the Padukone Dravid Centre for Sports Excellence, the Bengaluru Torpedoes volleyball academy will serve as a hub for promoting volleyball, further amplifying its development and outreach endeavours.

This centre will focus on Athletics, Boxing, and Archery disciplines.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) Friday confirmed the seven venues in the Caribbean that will host the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 from 4 to 30 June. Antigua & Barbuda, Barbados, Dominica, Guyana, Saint Lucia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, and Trinidad & Tobago, will host games along with three venues in the USA – Dallas, Florida and New York.

The USA is set to co-host the T20 World Cup for the first time, with Grand Prairie in Dallas, Broward County in Florida and Nassau County in New York chosen as the venues for the grand event.
