NEW DELHI: The second season of Esports Premier League (ESPL), the country’s first-ever franchise-based esports league carrying a prize pool of Rs 1 crore, has been put on hold just ahead of the LAN finale, which was set to be fought between the top 16 teams still in the fray from 1st to 5th August.

Reason: The sudden decision by the government to have the Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) gaming application removed from Google Play Store and Apple App Store as of 28th July.

MUMBAI: ​Following the acquisition of an Indian PUBG Mobile roster in October 2019, global esports organisation Fnatic has appointed Nimish Raut as its India lead.  Raut will be based out of India and will work to open Fnatic’s training academy and its gaming house in the country.

SANTA MONICA, Calif.: PUBG Corporation Thursday revealed full details for the 2019 PUBG Global Championship (PGC), which represents the culmination of PUBG Esports’ first official season.  PGC will take place across three weekends, starting with a Group Stage (Nov. 8-10) and Semifinals (Nov. 15-17) held at the OGN Super Arena in Manhattan Beach, CA.
