NEW DELHI: Venture capital fund Vereeni Investments has acquired a stake in India-facing fantasy sports operator Nostragamus for a reported seven-figure sum, its second major investment in fantasy sports.

Vereeni acquired a majority stake in Australian operator Moneyball in March.

The Nostragamus app – which has downloaded more than five million times – allows players to win real-money prizes by drafting teams for cricket, football, basketball, tennis, badminton and kabaddi. Nostragamus is the second DFS operator added to Vereeni’s investment.
