MUMBAI: The Omicron variant of COVID-19 is wreaking havoc with sporting events being staged across the country. After the I-League, Indian Super League (ISL), AFC Asian Women's Cup India 2022 and Santosh Trophy, the virus has reportedly breached the bio bubble of the ongoing Pro Kabaddi League in Bengaluru.

NEW DELHI: The surging Omicron variant of COVID-19 has led to a rash of golf tournaments being postponed across the country.  For the Indian Golf Union (IGU) however, its focus is on successfully staging the upcoming $2 million Hero Indian Open, scheduled by the DP World Tour to run from February 24-27 at DLF GC, Gurgaon.

MUMBAI: The country-wide surge of the Omicron variant of the coronavirus has reportedly got the BCCI working on Plan B to host the 15th edition of the Indian Premier League entirely in Mumbai. The start of the IPL could also be advanced by a week.

NEW DELHI: The BCCI is reportedly planning to hold a meeting with Indian Premier League team owners some time next month to discuss alternate plans of conducting the 2022 season of the IPL, amid incresing global concerns over the threat posed by the Omicron variant of the Covid virus. According to a Cricbuzz report, the BCCI is likely to discuss all the scenarios with the franchise owners.

MUMBAI: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and Cricket South Africa (CSA) have come to an agreement over the fate of India's scheduled full tour to South Africa later this month, which had been put in jeopardy following the discovery of the Omicron variant of the Covid-19 virus in Southern Africa.
