On Monday, only days ahead of the FIH Odisha Hockey Men's World Cup 2023 Bhubaneswar-Rourkela, Hockey India launched the 'Hockeyverse' on their social media platforms.

BHUBANESWAR: With 24 days left for FIH Men’s Hockey World Cup to begin, hockey mania has gripped Odisha.  Secretary to CM (5T), VK Pandian, in an Instagram live stream on Tuesday informed that tickets of India matches at Rourkela were sold out on day one, online. Similarly, the tickets at Bhubaneswar for India matches were sold within 48 hours.

The Odisha government is sparing no expense to organize the FIH Men’s Hockey World Cup in January 2023. The state has reportedly budgeted an outlay of Rs 1,098.40 crore towards hosting the global tournament, a 16-fold increase over the Rs 66.98 crore that was spent on hosting the last Hockey World Cup.

NEW DELHI: With exactly two years to go, Hockey India and the Odisha government are gearing up to host the all-important 2023 FIH Men’s Hockey World Cup.  In 2023, the nation will host the competition for a record fourth time since its inception in 1971. The 2023 FIH Men’s Hockey World Cup is slated to be held in Bhubaneswar and Rourkela from 13 January 2023 to 29 January 2023.

ROURKELA: After the success of Odisha Men’s Hockey World Cup in 2018 and the scale at which it was hosted, FIH had announced last year that the 2023 FIH Men’s Hockey World Cup will be hosted in Odisha, for a second consecutive time, at two venues, Bhubaneswar and Rourkela.
