online games

BENGALURU: Tamil Nadu has become the second south Indian state after Andhra Pradesh to ban online games played with money, by way of an ordinance promulgated by Governor Banwarilal Purohit on Friday.

A day after Tamil Nadu issued its order, the Karnataka government said it too was considering banning online gaming in the state.

According to a release issued by the Tamil Nadu government, the move was done because innocent people - which they said were mainly youngsters - “are being cheated” and that some people have also died by suicide.
