CHENNAI: Indian Oil Corporation on Thursday formally inducted Grandmaster R Praggnanandhaa into the IOC "family".

The "induction" took place at a function graced by IOC chairman Shrikant Madhav Vaidya and the regional head of IOC for Tamil Nadu and Puducherry, VC Asokan, here on Thursday, The Hindu reports.

Pragg, who is now 16 years of age, will be brought onto the rolls of IOC once he turns 18.
