ManU to establish professional women's team

LONDON: Manchester United have applied to the Football Association to establish a professional team in the second tier of the Women's Super League

The Premier League giants have long being criticised for lagging behind their rivals on this front.

“We are pleased to announce that the club intends to establish its first ever professional women’s team," United executive vice chairman Ed Woodward said in a statement issued Wednesday.

Saudi women set to enter kingdom's sports stadiums for 1st time
RIYADH: Women in Saudi Arabia will be allowed to enter sports stadiums to watch football matches for the first time on Friday, the government announced on Monday. "The first match that women will be allowed to watch will be Al Ahli versus Al Batin on January 12," the Ministry of Information said. It added that women would also be able to attend a second match on next day and a third match on January 18.
