AELTC, IMG extend long-running Wimbledon partnership

LONDON: The All England Lawn Tennis Club (AELTC) and IMG Thursday announced a long-term extension of their exclusive media rights and commercial representation partnership for Wimbledon.

IMG has been working with the club for more than 50 years to help maximise engagement, reach and revenues for the world-famous Grand Slam through international media rights management and sales, including its long-standing partnership with ESPN which last year was renewed for 12 years through to 2035.

AELTC announces cancellation of Wimbledon 2020
LONDON: The All England Lawn Tennis Club (AELTC) announced Wednesday that Wimbledon - tennis' most hallowed Grand Slam - has been cancelled for the first time since World War Two because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The tournament was due to be played between 29 June and 12 July.

AELTC names its operations head as next chief executive
LONDON: The committee of the All England Lawn Tennis Club (AELTC), which stages the Wimbledon Grand Slam, Friday announced the appointment of Sally Bolton to succeed Richard Lewis as chief executive of the AELTC following the 2020 championships. Through executive search firm SRI Executive AELTC selected Bolton after a "wide-ranging global search process".

Wimbledon finalises new chairman from 2020 championships

Wimbledon chairman to resign end-2019
LONDON: The All England Lawn Tennis Club (AELTC) confirmed on Tuesday that its chairman Philip Brook will be stepping down from his post in December 2019. Brook has been at the helm of the annual Wimbledon Championships since December 2010, which will ensure that his tenure will last nine years precisely. His successor will be determined by the spring of 2019, thereby ensuring a suitable period of handover.
