BHUBANESWAR: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik Monday said his government was keen to promote Table Tennis in the state.

“The state government, among other sports, is keen to promote TT in the state,” PTI quotes Patnaik as having said while addressing participants of the 21 Commonwealth Table Tennis Championship, which ended in Cuttack last evening.

He said: “To start with, we will provide tables and equipments for table tennis to 200 locations.”

NEW DELHI: Commonwealth Gold medal winning table tennis star Manika Batra and weightlifter Mirabai Chanu have signed multi-year representation agreements with sports management firm IOS Sports & Entertainment. IOS will now manage their endorsements, appearances, brand profiling, patents, licensing and digital rights, images, and visibility on social networking sites, the company stated in a media release.
