Sun-and-Sand Marathon

BHUBANESWAR: The Odisha state government has earmarked Rs150 million for the inaugural Sun-and-Sand Marathon, which will be held at Konark, a major tourist spot of the state. 

The was revealed by the state's finance minister Sashi Bhusan Behera, while presenting the annual budget for 2018-19 Friday, wherein he informed that a sum of Rs 150 million had been provided for holding the Sun-and-Sand Marathon at Konark, The Telegraph reports.

The state government is looking to promote a blend of sports and tourism, which it has identified as having huge potential.
