COLOMBO: Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) announced on Tuesday that it will raise the wages of all its contracted players by 34% in 2018-19, courtesy a record financial year for the board. Besides this, their match fees will also be hiked across all formats.

COLOMBO: 2017 proved to be the best year for Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) even as the national team’s performance sunk to an all-time low.
According to SLC’s financials, its liquidity (net current assets) is the highest since 2010, with the amount coming up to LKR850 million ($5.37 million).

COLOMBO: Sri Lanka Cricket Friday announced plans to launch its T20 League with the participation of Sri Lankan and International players.
"The tournament will be known as 'Lankan Premier League (LPL)', and will be played from 18th August to 10th September, 2018," said SLC chief executive Ashley De Silva.

COLOMBO: India-based sports management company ITW Consulting has acquired in-stadia advertising and sponsorship rights from Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) for its upcoming Nidahas Trophy 2018 tri-series that also features India and Bangladesh.
Nidahas Trophy 2018 will include seven International T20’s from 6th – 18th March at Colombo's R Premadasa Stadium in.

MUMBAI: Discovery branded sports channnel DSport has acquired the broadcast rights of the 2018 Nidahas Trophy, to be organised by Sri Lanka Cricket and also featuring India and Bangladesh.
The 2018 Nidahas Trophy will be played from 15-30 March. The T20 tournament is being played to celebrate Sri Lanka’s 70th year of independence.
