NEW DELHI: After successfully carrying out three editions of the Khelo India Youth Games, the Indian government has decided to conduct the Khelo India University Games. The first edition is being organized by the government of Odisha in association with the Sports Authority of India, Association of Indian Universities, National Sports Federation and Indian Olympic Association (IOA) and participating universities from February 22 to March 1.

NEW DELHI: After months of dilly-dallying, the Indian Olympic Association has finally recognised the Boxing Federation of India (BFI) as the national body governing the sport in India.
Though the BFI was recognised by the International Boxing Association (AIBA) and the Sports Ministry more than a year ago after elections conducted in September 2016, the IOA's nod came only on Wednesday.

Sports Minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, while reiterating his ministry's aim to rename and restructure the Sports Authority of India (SAI) said the first step would be to map the entire country for sports facilities.
