SLC pockets $14.5m from India's tour of Sri Lanka

COLOMBO: Sri Lanka Cricket has come away smiling after the India "B" team's recent tour of the Emerald Isles, which fattened SLC's coffers $14.5 million (Rs 1.077 billion) to the good.

The series was originally slated for just three ODIs as per the original FTP programme. However, the SLC requested the BCCI to add three T20Is into the schedule as well.

Lanka shelves 'IPL-style' T20 tourney plan

Lankan govt 'temporarily' takes over SLC
COLOMBO: The Sri Lankan central government on Friday appointed a "competent authority" to supervise day-to-day affairs of Sri Lanka Cricket, a day after after SLC president Thilanga Sumathipala’s term came to an end.   The competent authority is headed by the secretary of Sri Lanka's sports ministry, Kamal Padmasiri.

Lankan cricketers to get 34% pay hike in 2018

SLC confirms dates for revived Lankan T20 league
COLOMBO: Sri Lanka Cricket Friday announced plans to launch its T20 League with the participation of Sri Lankan and International players. "The tournament will be known as 'Lankan Premier League (LPL)', and will be played from 18th August to 10th September, 2018," said SLC chief executive Ashley De Silva.

COLOMBO: India-based sports management company ITW Consulting has acquired in-stadia advertising and sponsorship rights from Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) for its upcoming Nidahas Trophy 2018 tri-series that also features India and Bangladesh. Nidahas Trophy 2018 will include seven International T20’s from 6th – 18th March at Colombo's R Premadasa Stadium in.
