MUMBAI: American performance and lifestyle footwear brand Skechers Monday announced actor Kriti Sanon as a new brand ambassador for Skechers India. 

Kriti will be the face of the fashion and lifestyle categories for the brand and appear in the upcoming Skechers Street campaign — the brand’s line of streetwear sneakers.

MUMBAI: The joint venture between Sketchers and Future Group has come to an end with the Indian reetail major selling its 49% share in the JV to US footwear brand.  Although, financial details were not disclosed, market reports say Sketchers has paid the Kishore Bayani-owned brand around Rs 5.8 billion for the stake.

CHENNAI: The annual Chennai Marathon to be held on 6 January next year would have a new title sponsor in Skechers, the American performance and lifestyle footwear brand, Press Trust of India reports. The Skechers Performance Chennai Marathon 2019 would witness huge participation from runners across the world. This is one of the few marathon events in the country that is organised by the running community.

CALIFORNIA: American shoe and apparel company, Skechers filed a federal court complaint on Wednesday against one of the fiercest rivals, adidas in California on the allegations of using false advertising and unfair competition as well as the German brand illegally bribing young, college basketball players to endorse their products which is in violation of the National Collegiate Athletic Association ('NCAA') rules.
