Saina Nehwal

MUMBAI: Real Sports, a sports marketing agency from the house of JetSynthesys, has signed on ace badminton player Saina Nehwal. 

The company will look at newer avenues for Saina to explore and grow her personal brand both within India and across global shores. Headquartered out of Pune, JetSynthesys is a new age digital entertainment and technology company with a global foray in gaming and esports, digital entertainment, wellness, and livelihoods.

Saina was earlier managed by Delhi-headquartered sports agency FairPlay Sports.

NEW DELHI: Clearly indicating that politics is her retirement "go-to", star Indian shuttler Saina Nehwal has joined the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). BJP, on its official Twitter handle, posted a video of Nehwal joining the party at its headquarters in the capital in the presence of senior party leaders.

The fifth edition of the PBL is scheduled to start next month.

NEW DELHI: The Premier Badminton League (PBL) held its auction on Monday for Season 4 of the competition. The event was of significance due to the addition of the Pune 7 Aces franchise, making for a nine-team league. As a result, all nine teams had to revamp their squads.

DTV has signed a long term deal with the badminton superstar and Padma Bhushan awardee for all her commercial and player endeavours. This includes sponsorships, endorsements, publishing, appearance’s, digital rights, amongst others.

MUMBAI: Badminton star Saina Nehwal is in the Top 5 amongst the women athletes on ESPN’s ‘World Fame 100’ list for 2018.  Saina is 50th overall in ESPN’s ‘World Fame 100’ which is dominated by male superstars. But when it comes to women, Saina is the top-ranked Indian and ranked fourth after Serena Williams, Maria Sharapova and Venus Williams.

MUMBAI: Kidambi Srikanth has netted a career-best ranking of World No. 2 after jumping two places in the latest Badminton World Federation (BWF) rankings, released on Thursday. Srikanth, who reached five finals and clinched four titles this year so far, now has 73,403 points, 4527 point away from World Champion Viktor Axelsen of Denmark, who heads the ranking list.
