Real Kashmir Football Club

REAL KASHMIR Football Club (RKFC) on Sunday announced the formation of a women’s team, which will compete at national tournaments.

On the occasion of Daughter's Day, RKFC chairman Sandeep Chattoo said: This team will be for the daughters of Jammu and Kashmir “as we believe that girls have tremendous sporting potential and can go miles if trained properly”. 

Chattoo's wife Poonam, who is originally a resident of Coorg in Karnataka, will have overall charge of the team.

JAMMU: The Jammu and Kashmir government Monday approved funding worth Rs 20 million for Hero I-League debutants Real Kashmir Football Club until 2022, Press Trust of India reports. The J&K State Administrative Council (SAC), under the chairmanship of governor Satya Pal Malik, took this decision at a meeting in the city.

NEW DELHI: adidas India has announced an official partnership with Real Kashmir Football Club (RKFC), the first team from the Valley to qualify for the I-League, the country's notionally top tier league. As part of the partnership, adidas will become the official kit partner for the club and will aim to make football popular in Kashmir.
