MUMBAI: Nazara Technologies on Thursday announced that its CEO Manish Agarwal is stepping down from his position effective 1 December.

As per an official release, while Agarwal has decided to pursue entrepreneurial avenues, he will remain associated with Nazara Technologies as a nominee on the boards of material subsidiaries.

The company has been looking out for the different opportunities in the interactive sports verticals and has also invested in the likes of Mastermind Sports Limited and Moonglabs Technologies.

MUMBAI: The RIL-owned entertainment network Viacom18 and Nazara-owned gaming and eSports company Nodwin have joined hands to bring the world’s largest gaming festival, DreamHack to India. NESCO in Mumbai will be the hosts for the DreamHack India event from 21-23 December this year.

MUMBAI: Next Wave Multimedia, the gaming technology subsidiary of Nazara Technologies has inked a 3-year licensing deal with Cricket Australia (CA) to launch the official game on mobiles and smartphones of the KFC Big Bash League (BBL) and the Rebel Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL), two of the world’s premier domestic T20 competitions.

MUMBAI: Online gaming company Nazara Technologies (Nazara) has made a minority investment in InstaSportz Consultancy Pvt Ltd, a Bangalore-based VR gaming company in a bid to enter the offline gaming market in India. With this move, Nazara proposes to enter the offline gaming space to offer interactive entertainment via VR lounges in Tier 1 and 2 cities across India.

MUMBAI: Mobile gaming company Nazara Technologies Limited (Nazara) has acquired a stake in CrimzonCode, a development studio to enter into Real Money Quiz vertical.  CrimzonCode owns TopQuiz, a quiz game that allows players to win real money. Nazara also picked up a 27.42% minority stake in the company that runs CrimzonCode.

MUMBAI: Leading Indian gaming company Nazara Technologies Ltd has set up a subsidiary - NZ World Kenya Ltd (NZ World) - through which it is looking to enter the ‘real money’ gaming market in the East African nation as well as other countries on the continent.    Nazara has a 70% stake in NZ World Kenya, with the rest being held by a local partner.

NEW DELHI: Mobile games publishers Nazara Technologies Ltd has acquired a 55 per cent stake in Gurugram-based Nodwin Gaming Pvt. Ltd, a gaming solutions company and creator of e-sports events, through a cash-and-stock deal. Post acquisition, Nodwin will become an independent subsidiary of Nazara. The financial terms of the acquisition was not disclosed.

Financial terms were not disclosed. The casual and multiplayer-focused games studio is best known for its mobile game World Cricket Championship (WCC).

MUMBAI:  Ace investor Rakesh Jhunjhunwala has acquired a minority stake in WestBridge Capital-backed mobile gaming company Nazara Technologies for approximately $27.99 million (Rs 1.8 billion). Jhunjhunwala’s investment follows the $51.1 million (Rs 3.3 billion) funding round in the Mumbai-based startup led by IIFL Special Opportunities Fund at the beginning of the month.
