MUMBAI: N Srinivasan, owner of Indian Premier League franchise Chennai Super Kings, has confirmed that CSK captain MS Dhoni, who won a fourth IPL title for his team this year, does not want to be retained.

The IPL retention rules state that a franchise can retain up to four players and will have to commit Rs 16 cr to retain its first choice player, Rs 12 cr for the second, Rs 8 cr for the third, and Rs 6 cr for the fourth. The costing changes when the number of retained players go down.
