Manu Sawhney

MUMBAI: Manu Sawhney, former International Cricket Council chief executive and serving board member of Premier League giants Manchester United, has been accused of being a ‘narcissistic bully’ in revelations that have come out in a UK daily in the aftermath of his being sacked by the ICC.

Sawhney, who has been a part of the United board for the past decade, was axed from his position as CEO of the ICC this summer.

DUBAI: The International Cricket Council Thursday announced that chief executive Manu Sawhney will leave the organisation with immediate effect.  Geoff Allardice will continue as acting CEO supported by the leadership team working closely with the ICC board.  The development comes months after Sawhney was suspended after an internal review, which was conducted by PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC).

DUBAI: The International Cricket Council Tuesday announced Manu Sawhney as its new chief executive officer. Sawhney, the former CEO of Singapore Sports Hub and managing director of ESPN Star Sports, will join the organization next month before formally taking over the reins from David Richardson in July following the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup.
