Khelo India Youth Games

NEW DELHI: Khelo India Youth Games 2021 will be organised from 4th to 13th June. 

Union Sports Minister Anurag Thakur virtually interacted with Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal at the Organizing and Coordinating Committee Meeting to review the preparedness of the games.

Thakur said that work should be done with new ideas in Khelo India Youth Games so that there is more discussion about Haryana across the country. The Haryana chief minister said that a mascot and logo of Khelo India Youth Games would be launched on 8th of May in Panchkula.

NEW DELHI: After two postponements, the fourth edition of the Khelo India Youth Games (KIYG) 2021 is expected to finally be delivered in Haryana by the end of March.  All the preparations have reportedly been completed. The national youth championships were originally scheduled to take place in November-December last year and were later pushed to February.

NEW DELHI: Even as India is still to come to grips with the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic, which has been raging unabated across the country, the Union Sports Ministry appears confident that the Khelo India Youth Games can go ahead this year. And has even sanctioned Rs 206.7 million in funds for designated host state Haryana.

NEW DELHI: The Union Sports Ministry has approved the inclusion of four indigenous sports, including Gatka and Kalaripayattu, in the Khelo India Youth Games 2021, scheduled to take place in Haryana. The other two games included are Thang-Ta and Mallakhamba.

NEW DELHI: Haryana will host the fourth edition of the Khelo India Youth Games in Panchkula next year. The decision was announced by Union Sports Minister Kiren Rijuju here Sunday.

GUWAHATI: Assam's financial capital Guwahati will play host to the third edition of Khelo India Youth Games in January next, state chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal said while chairing the first high-powered review meeting here Thursday.   Sonowal said the state machinery, including sports bodies, should make the best innovation for successfully organising the games in the city.

PUNE: The Khelo India Youth Games (KYIG) 2019 ended on Sunday with the host state Maharashtra winning the Overall Trophy with 228 medals, which include 85 gold, 62 silver and 81 bronze wins respectively.

PUNE: The National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA) is using the Khelo India Youth Games here to conduct mass awareness programmes for the 6000 competing athletes from around the country. NADA director general Navin Aggarwal was at hand to speak with some athletes who attended the anti-doping awareness session on Wednesday.
